Microsoft Defender - XY is malware

Was running XY 17.20.0200 when Windows Defender quarantined XYPlorer.exe as severe malware.

If you downloaded and installed it from the official site -> False positive

Totally agree this is a non issue, just thought Don would like to know.

Tip: You can save some trouble (and gain speed!) if you exclude XYplorer from Defender (provided you installed XYplorer from the official site):
