How do I delete one or more destination folders listed in the "Move To" screen Shortcut: Shift+F7?
The Help file says:
In the destination folder list you can Move (Ctrl+Up/Down) and Delete (Del) items.
When I press Del - nothing happens???

Right click & Unselect Item - same outcome???

Sort is not saved. Is this what is intended?

You edit the list via Tools | List Management | Move/Copy/Backup To...

Thanks Sammay for taking the time to respond - worked like a charm.
I knew there was an undocumented trick to this...and that I had seen before.

Please take a look at this command and I am confident that you can make the right click commands have more meaning (at least add a "Manage" that takes one to the commands that work)
- and update to Help file. It needs TLC.

In the very first paragraph - last sentence.
I attempted to upload a TXT file but ran into another limitation of this NG. (I guess)

Right. Destination folders list is not editable in these dialogs, but this seems to imply otherwise, and makes no reference to List Management at all. This should paragraph be rephrased.

I once thought that F1 was context sensitive - apparently not in this context.

I also had a tough search and had to do a process of elimination - before I finally found it.
(Pure garbage IMHO)
It should clearly state the simple stuff first - then start the rant.
With all the time you and I have spent on XY - by now - we 'should' never be confused about F1

The 'Move To' command is very important if you maintain large data bases (say 1-2 TBs).

As a rule I almost never move folders - only files.
I typically also have the "Hide Folders in List" ON.

I would very much like to have a warning that I'm about move FOLDERS warning. In the heat of the action I have made that
error more than once. (hours late I discover folders missing or found in strange locations. This is a real mess to undo!)

2.
I would also like a second warning:
You are about to move one or more ZIP files. With the "Hide Folders in List" ON - the outcome may be undesirable!
(Has this feature really been tested?) Had a bad experience with this today - had to use "Everything prog" to find stuff.

I typically also have "Branchview" OFF - would that cause further complications or not? (with either folders or ZIP files?)

It would be a nice touch (not essential) if one gets info: You are about to move xx number of folders and yy number of files containing zz bytes total. Or similar wording. :-)

1) OK, not bad. That would be a sub-option of:
Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Safety Belts | Confirm copy and move operations
Something like:
[ ] For folders only.

Opinions? Suggestions? Refinements?

2) Huh? There is nothing special about moving ZIP files. Cannot see how "Hide Folders in List" can make any difference here since ZIPs are not treated as folders in XY.

3) So something like Edit | Select | Selection Stats as part of the confirmation (Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Safety Belts | Confirm copy and move operations) prompt? Maybe not a bad idea...

Regarding #3, I have an UDC to show total size and item count before deletion, which is useful now and then. Similar info before other file ops will fit in nicely. Native pre-delete stats - all the better.

Would be perfect info. Numbers should probably line up directly under each other for ease of reading. Justify right.

As for ZIP files not being a problem - I take your word for that. They do seem to create their own sub-folders automatically...that was the problem I saw - I think
I do not want to test Zips because I avoid them as the plague.
As for others making suggestions or refinements - that would be good. The wast majority here could not be bothered - they are strictly users and simply junk anything that does not work right out of the box. It is tough spending time with all the options and menus...

What is that "UDC" ? Is that a separate program or what?
