Loading Layout Catalog Taking 2,665 ms

I'm crazy about XYplorer - this is one of the finest pieces of software (and support) I've ever purchased.
My initial load seemed a bit pokey and the culprit appears to be the Layout Catalog. Of the 3,025 ms it takes for XY to startup the Catalog is responsible for 2,665 of them or 88%. Obviously, I'm searching for something with the catalog that is slowing down the works.
In the catalog there are 8 items, 6 of which look to local sub-directories and 2 which are of networked sub-directories. One networked sub-dir is on my home LAN and the other is on the work LAN, thus, only one of them is available at any given time. Is the catalog checking the availability of the networked folders at startup? Is there a setting to tell it not to bother unless I select the catalog item?
