MRU Autocomplete

There is no way to "force" this list to show up, right? It usually does as you type, since it's an autocomplete, but what if I wanna force it, because I also have the filesystem autocomplete enabled, and then that's the one who shows up.
AFAIK it means I cannot use the feature (sorted MRU autocomplete) even though it's enabled, if filesystem autocomplete is enabled as well ("If path name completion is ON then the normal Auto-Complete (based on MRU items) is silently/implicitly turned off"). Some hotkey to actually trigger either one or the other would be a nice thing I think.

I agree with Jacky that some hotkey to temporary turn off/on the windows autocomplete would be nice because the "standard" autocomplete doesn't work when you have windows autocomplete enabled.

Another alternative would be to have inline autocomplete as an option in Configuration because inline autocompletion can work together with windows autocomplete.

I would like ot, too, but when I try to force-open the internal match list, it interfers with the AutoCompletePath list in an uncontrollable way. AutoCompletePath is in the hands of Windows... pity.

A KS to turn ACP on/off would be the only way.

Well, maybe a KS could be nice. But you know me, lazy & PITA, so actually "just" a KS wouldn't really do it for me

Ok so this is me, me me me me me , but AFAIC I think I only really need this for Go to, and while a KS to switch ACP on/off would be nice, I would like it to turn it off but only temporary, as in as soon as I exit Go to (whether through Ok or Cancel) it would "restore" the previous state (according to my settings)

But ACP as three settings, AB, Goto and FF, so it would have three distinct command/KS, right? So maybe the one for Goto could have this special behavior that others don't -- since you can't really tell when AB/FF are canceled, unless you go with one single command that "restore" the appropriate setting when the focus is out (of AB, Goto, FF Location)

I have no problem with you you you, as long as I like the idea, but this one sounds a bit complicated, right? It lacks elegance...

hmm.. I don't know. I like the idea of being able to disable ACP and use the other MRU on demand. But as I said, I don't think it should really change the setting but only be a one time thing.
Because you want the setting (ACP) enabled, most of the times, but maybe every once in a while you don't & want the other MRU.

So having a key to disable it temporarily, eg. while the field has focus, without having to worry if you set it back or not, etc

I'm guessing no, but you said that when trying to force-open the internal match list, it would interfer with ACP. What if you were to disable ACP right before, and then trigger your list?
So then, the KS would mean Temporarily disable ACP (as in no config change), and show your list. Would that work?

I do not find a programmatic way to determine whether the ACP list is currently visible nor to close it if it is visible. I would need both.
