I hope that we could edit multiple (comments, tags columns) data one by one, like the way we could with "Edit item names" feature.
Pls tell me it will be coming soon

There's always scripting. In fact, this is a good idea for a nice little script.

Hello XYplorer-Team,
We have repeatedly the issue that we need to update/revise/rename the tags in use for several hundred files at the time. It would be more than helpful to edit the tags in question in the list management section/tag list with the final goal that the XYplorer would then automatically update the revised tags wherever they are in use at that time.
In our experience, tags are always something that evolves and is in need of fine-tuning/revision/change to reflect the most current status of the corresponding file.
Any help for a not so well-versed XYplorer user would be greatly appreciated - Thank you!

From the help file:
Note that editing the Tag List does not change or remove any tags from your files or folders! The Tag List is only your interface to selecting/attaching tags.
So, here is a script that should work. Test it before you use it in production!
Change & delete in taglist_v0.1.xys
