How to get Outlook.msg files to preview "natively" in XY

My Outlook.msg files are showing with a whole bunch of "junk characters" showing amongst the actual text of the email message.
Is it possible to get Outlook files to preview "natively" as Outlook displays them.

Uhhh... Don^^
Windows 7 x64. Office 2010 x86. Current XY beta.
Take a look at the gif animation, please. XY can decode the message successfully but it switches back to a raw view after
a split second^^

Thanks for replying highend... I'm new here... are you one of the developers?

Sure you are using XYplorer? It is not programmed to do this.
Another proof that MSG is weird (like all Office).
Well, I threw a dead chicken at it. Let's see how the next beta behaves.

@pctdoug
No, I'm not

Maybe. I've tried Xplorer² 32-bit to see if the preview handler works fine in other applications -> No problems there. The preview works flawlessly...

You said "XY can decode the message successfully" -- do you mean it worked as it should for a split second?

Exactly. For about 0.25 seconds it shows the real content of the .msg file in the preview pane and then switches back to the raw few. This effect can only be seen if the "Preview Now" button is pressed (and the .msg file entry for "Text files" is disabled to let the button appear)

Is this a recent change in behavior (since 20160604)?

Testing with a fresh instance of v16.90.0000 - 2016-06-03 18:00:
The behavior is different. It doesn't show the decoded message but this instead: 2 Frames, no content. I extracted it from the .gif animation as a single screenshot. After trying to display "this something" it switches back to the raw view like the current beta.

This looks totally exotic to me. I don't get this here, and I don't understand how you get. Well, I have no Office installed, so I don't get any MSG previews anyway.
The next beta will have some changes, but I don't have much hope. After reading this, you understand that MSG is a mess:

It is. Even more so because when *.msg is checked in "Text files" you'll never see the correctly decoded .msg file. Not even for a split second. Switching to such a file instantly shows the raw view, it doesn't try to show the right view for 0.25 seconds like after pressing the "Preview now" button...

Uh oh... that does not sound encouraging.
I have been using Xplorer2, which is able to display MSG files natively in the preview pane. However, Outlook is also what causes Xplorer2 to crash intermittently.
I just bought into XY yesterday, hoping that the developers here would be able to address this issue.
I would even be happy if XY could at least convert the msg files to txt, and then display them without all the "special" characters messing things up.

There is something else what makes the whole thing weird...
Quick View Plus (Standard) works fine in XY. But not with .msg files. XY displays it's raw view of it, QVP's preview isn't shown at all.
Windows Explorer works fine.
Win 10 64, current XY beta, no Office installed, QVP v13 Standard x86.

Might be that QVP works again in the next beta.

Hi. Im a new user and often copy emails to folders work on related tasks. Has this issue been resolved?
I have installed QuickViewPlus and have no difficulty previewing emails in Explorer and Directory Opus. However in XY, they show as gibberish.
I would like to use XY for my primary browser, but this functionality stops me.
Thanks!
