Opening Shortcuts (.lnk) opens parent folder

Hi,
I've just tried version 16.90.0000 and found that double clicking shortcuts (.lnk) opens the parent folder rather than the intended folder.
For example:
C:\1\2\3
Double clicking a shortcut to folder 3 would open folder 2 and select folder 3.
Shortcuts to files opens the file as normal.
I've ruled out any mouse related software, in fact pressing Enter causes the same result.
In the meantime I've rolled back to XYplorer 16.80.
The OS I tested it on was an old WinXP PC used for older games, I've not tested it on anything newer at the moment.
