Please delete my membership

A few days ago, I was seriously thinking about buying a lifetime license. Now I'm glad I didn't. Not because of the software, just because of the way how customers are treated here, especially by the mods. (I'm not speaking of myself)
This is not the kind of community I want to contribute feedback & time, so please delete my account. (Couldn't find a corresponding option on the page)
All the best, I'm out.

Are you referring to "Solid Ex"? This isn't actually a new user (his old account was deleted by Don a while ago). Probably some mental problems, nothing new... Users are treated with respect unless they are freaking out. Which is... a very seldom thing here. Nevertheless, take care!

In general I think highend is right.
(I'm just a normal user, so don't know anything about the special case.)
But I must say that this is one of the best communities I know.
Just my personal opinion.

I second that remark.

Hi Skeeve
You've been around for about a month, right?
If you followed the discussions on this forum for that period you should have noticed that users are treated respectfully as long as they do the same. Every now and then there is the one user who cannot accept a decision made and leaves the path of respectfulness in further discussions which might lead to one less member of this community.
There have been a few such cases over the years but certainly the large number of cooperative, patient and friendly members of this forum outweigh this easily.
If you feel you haven't been welcomed or treated properly on this forum then I'm sorry - take care.

Wow, thinking "don't feed the trolls"....
Agree 100% with the above comments, this is one of the friendliest, most helpful forums I've ever used.

I've spent lots of time on lots of different tech-related forums. This is one of the friendlier ones. Any forum will have somebody act rude occasionally. There are some forums though, where the rude ones are the "regulars" there. It definitely promotes a darker climate. I've never felt that darkness here. And I've asked some pretty dumb questions over the years!

Wow, Skeeve was helped with his questions and even contributed to fixing a bug. Now this.
Unfortunately I have to grant his own wish and remove him because I never want to experience the "grindax disaster" again (a user flipped out and manually deleted about 1000 postings of his -- must have taken him days...).
