Folders have tuned grey in trees

Can anybody help?
Something I've done, and I don't know what has turned my folder titles grey. How can I get the m back to the black text that they were?
Appreciate any help you can give.

Could you please post a screenshot showing the problem?
It sounds like you may have inadvertently enabled or changed Color Filters (Tools | Configuration... | Colors and Styles | Color Filters).

Spotted it. I had inadvertently ticked attr.d when I should not have. Back to normal now. It was your immediate thought of in the colour section that prompted me to revisit. Thanks again for your kind and prompt
response.

Glad you got it figured out!
Not that you suggested this, but if you were interested in keeping your
attr:d color filter active but only in the list pane, leaving the tree alone, then it's possible with a slight modification.
Some criteria only work in the list so adding one of those to the filter "breaks" it in the tree while continuing to work in the list. One such criteria is the name/title length, which is great for this abuse:
This will color anything with directory attribute and title longer than 0 characters. The latter will never evaluate to true in the tree but should always be true in the list - thus giving you a list-only color filter.
Unfortunately the reverse - a tree-only color filter - is more difficult to achieve.
