Using PFA in Scripted Command?

I have a toolbar which runs a PDF-File. Since the *.PDF-Link is hijacked by IE, I would like to use my favourite viewer - to which I linked through a PFA. Unfortunately that viewer is not installed in the same dir on all machines, so I cannot refer to it using an absolute path. Can I somehow use the PFA? (It only has the cmd "PDFXCview", but that finds the tool on all machines - I wish I could use that info, but when I tried the command

Code: Select all

run "PDFXCview ""file name of my PDF"""
I got the msg that the system could not find the specified file...

use the "open" scripting command. by default it uses XY's Portable File Association to open a given file.

Great. And for future reference, sc openwith should accept registered program names like "PDFXCView".
