Hi,

Is there a way to manually sort files and rename them afterwards. I make images in a different order than I want to use them. And I want the names of the images in the order I am going to use them. So I want to drag them in the right order and rename them afterwards. In Adobe Bridge this is possible, but it would be great if I could do this in XYplorer as well.

Menu > Tools > Customize list > Manual sorting.

Super, that is the one! And I looked and tried but didn't found it. But this program has most features you can wish for! Thanks!!

OMG...I just stumbled on this functionality...YOU ROCK!

However, just in case it was not improved over night, the manual sorting does not get remembered or saved in a normal list view!
If someone wants that: The manual sorting order only gets saved in a paper folder (virtual folder), which has its own pros & cons.

as I said, over night.
In my case it is incompatible with the set default folder view. Probably I did not notice it because of this.

EDIT: Tried it again. Nope. With FVS off it is remembered on quit and restart but not on folder change.

"... custom sort orders are remembered per tab..." -- not per folder.

again the have to take more literal what is not written. sorry.
