Hey guys,

Win 10

I can't get flv thumbnails to work in the free version, latest version. I installed Icaros and still it won't do it. Windows Explorer is showing all thumbnails from all video types, including flv. I'm trying to click Advanced>Enable 32 bit icaros on Windows 64bit but it is greyed out. I opened icaros in admin mode, but still won;t allow that option.

Any suggestions?

Uninstall Icaros, reboot, install it again (v2.3.0) and this time, select

[x] Icaros Shell Extensions (x86)

on the "Select Components" during installation?

I thought I did that, but I went ahead and uninstalled, rebooted,and reinstalled. No luck.

No flv thumbnails still. They show in MS File Explorer.

So, does this work now after you reinstalled it?

Nope

Please list the contents of:
C:\Program Files\Icaros\32-bit

and show the screenshot of Icaros, when you're in the advanced part of the config...

I used view Thumbnail#2 so you could see the file extensions too. There is one mp4 file for comparison, which does show the thumbnail.

Unfortunately I'm still unable to reproduce this failure. It works flawlessly in a Win 10 Enterprise x64 VM. Even with your XY settings.

It works with Windows Explorer because -> x64 and the Icaros x64 installation works flawlessly. If XY is really the culprit (or a faulty handler -> shellexview from nirsoft!) could only be checked with a different 32-bit file explorer. The hard linked Windows Explorer from %windir%\SysWow64 starts a x64 version and not the x86 one so you can't use that one to check...

Run IcarosConfig.exe and check to make sure that FLV is in the list:
If that doesn't work try disabling FLV in whatever media player it is associated with and restart explorer and xy and see what happens.
