Fee version vs Free Trial

Looking over the site and I can't tell if the free version is something that can be used on an ongoing basis with limited features or if it the same as a 30-day Free Trial. I am pretty sure I will buy this but (IMHO) this distinction should be more clear.

The free version is really free (but feature limited), the trial runs for 30 days and has no limitations during that time
