Not able to scan files within XYplorer

I am no longer able to scan a file in XYplorer by right clicking on the file and selecting "Scan for Virus", the options are GREYED OUT and not available. I am however able to do a scan using the Windows Explorer utility. I have tried changing the XYplorer Settings Shell Integration options to no avail.
I am using Windows 7 64-bit and Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

1. If it was working before, what has changed on your computer since?
2. Version information of XY + Kaspersky
3. What happens if you use the "Show 64-bit Context Menu" entry from the XY context menu when clicking on a file / folder, still greyed out?

1. I do not recall any significant changes to my PC since the last time I used the function but XYplorer and Windows 7 Updates have been frequent.
2. Version info for XYplorer 16.10.0300 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 16.0.0.614
3. If I use the "Show 64-bit Context Menu" the 3 Scan options in the menu continue to be Greyed Out.

If there is not an easy fix I can use Windows Explorer to do the occasional file scan.

I would try to export your settings in Kaspersky (if possible) and uninstall + reinstall it.

In the first place this sounds like a messed up context menu handler / registry mess
