Don't open 'My Network Places' implicitly

The Problem:
A lot of Windows PC I've seen have this problem: when you click on 'My Network Places' (the item with the world behind monitor symbol),
then the application will freeze for 30 seconds or more, while it looks for workgroups.
This is, of course, very annoying but there is...

The Workaround:
Don't use My Network Places, but go to \\server directly.
Works well in Explorer, but...
It does not work in XYplorer, because when the tree opens
[My Network Places] / workgroup / server,
then (I guess) XYplorer always tries to find all workgroups, which makes it hang for 30s.

The Result:
XYp hangs when you access another PC for the first time.
When you close XYp while you're on a remote PC, the next startup will take forever (because XYp remembers the last location).

The Proposal:
It would be nice if XYp worked like Explorer (don't search for workgroups unless I explicitly click on My Network Places.

P.S. Actually, this does not bother me anymore because I just figured out how to get rid of the hang.
(disabled NetBIOS, no more waiting. Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem on all Windows installations).

Why don't you check Configuration|Advanced|Cache network servers between sessions !? That should do it.

Hm, ok. I might have tried it out earlier if it was mentioned in the help file... (hint, hint , major Zaunpfahl ;-)
