Comments lost

Hello,
I restored my tag.dat file from an earlier version that I saved, which is 252 KB. Now in list view and details view, my comments do not show up. However, if I search for keywords in the Tags tab, I can there see in the search results all the files with comments containing my key word, and the comments are visible.
I've spent many hours trying to trouble shoot. Any suggestions?

Is it simply because the column is hidden?

Nope. The column is marked to be shown and not hidden.

Tools > Configuration > Tags > Show tags in file list
is this checked?

You see the comments in the Tags (Info Panel, F12) tab?

In regular list view or details view, I do not see the comments in the info tab (f12, and tags tab). I know they're in there because if I run a search, such as F12, Find files tab, Tags, tab, and insert a keyword, and click Find now, every file with the keyword will be visible in the search results and the comments will then appear.
If I cannot properly restore the tag.dat file, the only work around I can come up with is to run keyword searches and then cut and paste each comment back into the file comment area. I have over 1000, and these are for business. Not looking forward to that. It really should not be this hard, and frankly I am disappointed the restoration process did not work. What if I had 10,000 files? Imagine the hours spent. Just venting here, sorry.

Can you post screenshot listing files that should have a comment, in Details view, including the "Comment" column, and one of the files selected, with opened Info Panel with Tags tab selected? Thanks.
