For me, "Upgrade License" is greyed out, but "Buy Now" is click-able. If I cannot upgrade my license, what is there to buy?

Unlikely, the system to gift a license does not seem to be there. If there was an option to specify that it is a gift with a field for receiver's email address, that would be a different story.
