Shell syntax

shell: quick launch - tried combinations with quotes, but could not get it to work. What kind of quotes do I need for shell-commands that contain blank spaces? BTW, it works everywhere else without any quotes.
The only other space-separated location that came to mind was "start menu" - and sure enough, didn't work either. I double-checked with other managers and Win-Run - but there it's OK.
Honestly, these quotes are like roaches, they're getting on my nerves, crawling all over the place

Examples of what doesn't work?

"shell:Start Menu" works, as does "shell:My Music"
[add] but not "shell:Quick Launch"
unfathomable MSorcery...

I sometimes - not very often - need to access user settings. For ages I've been using shell:* to do that.
In XY I usually do this via GoTo - then "shell:recent" or "shell:sendto" ... well you get the picture.
A few commands consist of 2 words, separated by a blank. Such as "shell:quick launch" or "shell:start menu"
Well, I've tried it with single quotes inside double, and vice versa, and single in lieu of doubles, including the shell-part and excluding the shell-part, with or w/o semi-colon at the end, with or w/o ::colons up front - whatever random stuff I've ever seen concerning the GoTo dialog. But I can't get it to work.

well, shell:start menu works for me without any pre-processing. No quotes.

Ha, you're right. Guess I did not torture this one through all my variations, it was just another attempt to verify my suspicion that it has to do with quotes again.
So what you're saying is, in works in XY just like everywhere else, not quotes at all? It's a bug, not a syntax mistake that kept me trying in vain?

Had to try this a bit more. Turns out it works with start menu only. None of the other double words seem to work.
shell:common documents | common appdata | common programs
I cannot blame it for media stuff, "My Folder" locations are not set up on this machine, doesn't work in other file managers, either. But quick launch and the common ** stuff works everywhere else.
