For many years I'm offering three ways to pay for XYplorer: PayPal, ShareIt, FastSpring.
Is there anything missing? How do people pay for software in 2015?

PayPal has been my preference for many years. But supposedly it's off limits for residents of certain countries, or rather, they don't have affiliations to the banks of certain countries. Russia and "rogue" states are likely candidates, I've been told.

I'd personally prefer "on account" (correct word? German: auf Rechnung) (Rarely available.)
Most time I pay "cash on delivery".

Though I see: international this is a problem

Bill them later? After they got the merchandise?
Takes quite some trust and faith in mankind, and puts the burden on Don to keep track of invoices paid vs unpaid vs lost forever.

Me too. Via PayPal - or rather "delivery on cash"

PayPal for me too. It seems to be the most widely used and it's easy to use with either direct debit from a bank account or via a credit card.

I think you're well covered but you could explore other alternatives...

Additional payment processors:

• Stripe - Seems to be a popular choice these days. Kickstarter just migrated to them.
• Amazon Payments
• Google Wallet Instant Buy

You could also investigate selling in:
Windows Store
Steam (it's not just for games )

-- Normal credit/debit card
-- Bitcoin

The problem I have with PayPal is that they do not seem to be friendly when it comes to purchases of intangible goods. Also, exchange rates through my credit card are often better.

PayPal for me too. It's so convenient so why not?
