Quick copy / move

Copying / moving from one tab to another with the keyboard or via menus takes entirely too much time in XY (compared to a dual paned manager). It would be nice to be able to flag a tab, favorite, or catalog item as a destination folder (maybe show current dst folder in status area) and copy/move files with a single key/button press. This could also be done via assumptions about the current open tabs.
One can use key modifiers to confirm assumptions. For example, let's assume I have two tabs open, A and B. Each is set to a unique directory, focus is on tab A. F5 might bring up a dialog box asking me if I'd like to copy files to the folder specified by tab B (likely a radio, copy to tab, then a dropdown specifying which). Shift F5 forgoes the dialog and copies to tab B without even asking (since there's only one other open tab). As an "advanced" user, I knew what the extended command would do and no confirmation is required.
I'm trying _really_ hard to maintain productivity in XY as compared to dual paned managers but I'm having a hell of a time accomplishing trivial tasks without multiple clicks.
Donald, if you can narrow the gap between XY and the dual paned managers, I'm confident you will win the support of many.
