Virtual / Smart Folders

I stumbled on XYplorer while I was searching for software that would make it possible to browse through my files using Smart Folders or Virtual Folders. A Smart Folder contains a list of files that is the result of predetermined search. If the searching functionality is based on a dynamically updated database of all the files on your computer (like Locate at http://locate32.webhop.org/ does, or AvaFind) the Smart Folder could be almost as fast as a normal one. The advantage of a Smart Folder is that one file can show up in different places and you can organize your files in all sort of differents ways without actually moving or copying them. Quite like GMail stores its messages actually.

The searching functionality in XYplorer is very impressive but the only thing is that it has to start over every time you are looking for something. A Saved Search combined with a database would make XYplorer much more powerful. Any hope of this being implemented?

This is actually planned with "Drop Stacks", which are nothing but Virtual Folders.
