Overlapping Files/Folders?

Hello Don. I encountered a message yesterday when I attempted to move a folder from a subdirectory to its root directory. It gave me an error/warning about my folders/files or something overlapping. I then closed it and did something else that did not give me that error anymore. Out of curiosity but what is that error about?

If you mean this dialog then read on...

This is usually shown when what you are moving contains folders which are also present in the destination which can sometimes cause odd behavior.
If you had:
C:\New Folder\1.txt
C:\New Folder\2.txt
C:\New Folder\New Folder\1.txt
C:\New Folder\New Folder\3.txt
Then moved
C:\New Folder\New Folder\ to
C:\ - there's some overlap and a collision (1.txt) that needs resolved.
It's a bit headache inducing, and admittedly I don't fully understand it.. but you can read more in this old thread:

Hmm... I read through that but it seems my case was a bit odd. This is what happened.
\TEMPORARY
.....Working Folder\
.....Finished Items\
I attempted to "Finished Item" to the root of the drive. There are no folders with the name "Finished Item" and yet it gave me that overlapping error. What I did to solve the problem was I moved "Finished Items" into "Working Folders" and then move it from there back to the root of the drive. It's a funny problem anyway and I was not able to reproduce it so... it must be a gremlin haha
Anyway thanks!
