I'm evaluating xyplorer and installed on my work pc and home pc. I have a small issue, I hope you can help mel.

both systems installed xyplorer free 14.80, zip installation, windows 7

on work system the icon is not shown in front of the filename. however links have a link icon in front of them.
"tools - customize list - show icons" is checked. strange thing is that I on my home pc the icons are shown, but I cannot find what I did different on the other system .....

is there some option I missed?

thanks

Does Windows Explorer show all icons correctly?

Your setup is missing practically every icon that XY uses (even for the tabs)...

Try this:
Open Tools->Config->Refresh, Icons, History
and uncheck "Use generic icons for superfast browsing".

[OR, keep "Use generic icons for superfast browsing" checked, but uncheck the one under it ("But only in network locations")]

I'm guessing the shell32.dll was modified

No change when changing these options. (restarted xyplorer after each change)

Are you using some sort of Windows skin or icons manager?

not that I'm aware of.
this is a corporate PC and I assume the IT department will leave as much untouched as possible.
I dont have admin rights to this pc, thats why i use the portable version of xyplorer.

only thing that comes to mind is the videocard, which a special card for 3D CAD software. can the driver someway interfere with the icons?
i havent noticed problems with icons in other programs (f.i. windows explorer, multicommander, file selection windows etc.)

Totally strange. XY does nothing special with icons. All standard ways. :|

Thank you.

This could be the cause of the trouble:
Screen DPI: 110.7692 (115.3846%)

I will attempt a fix in the next beta release.

my "thank you" line was meant for the quick replies on this forum, I had no idea you would release a new beta that fast!!

For the beta, most icons are shown but there are still some icons missing:

In the tree, the icons for the installer folder and subfolders. However, the recent locations does show the icons.
In other folders there are folder icons and also file icons missing.
