Search for message in this forum via quotes

I was trying to search for messages with the exact phrase "specific date". I put the phrase in quotes..but got both words in each result, but very few with that particular phrase. Is there a way to search for a phrase, the same way you do when you put a phrase within quotes for a search engine?

Google search on this forum is better than this forum' own search. This is generally true for most websites.
you should enter this string in Google to search this forum:

site:xyplorer.com/xyfc/ "your exact search phrase"

I didn't see the google option on the ADVANCED SEARCH option. Must be right in front of me. I have a blind spot there.

you should enter this string in Google to search this forum
site:xyplorer.com/xyfc/ "your exact search phrase"
So:
you have to enter this in the address / google search bar of your browser
