Cannot kill XYplorer on this folder

XYplorer hangs on a specific folder, and only this folder, every time. The only solution is to log off Windows.

Some clues about the folder -
(a) it is on an external USB drive
(b) the drive is formatted as HFS+
(c) it is being accessed in Windows 7 via Apple Boot Camp
(d) the folder is perfectly accessible through Windows Explorer
(e) the folder contains a bunch of Mac-specific files (like .app, .dmg, and .pkg packages) - this type of file appears as a folder in Windows
(f) XYplorer doesn't have any problem accessing other folders on this external drive

Any ideas? :veryconfused:

Thanks

Also with a fresh install of the latest version?

It is a fresh install of the latest version 14.70 but with all settings copied over from a slightly earlier version that was on another machine that I no longer use.

Type

Code: Select all

fresh;
into the address bar and press enter. See if this fresh instance has the same issue.

I get "Not Found: Location or Item"... But I was able to execute the command from the Scripting menu and all was good. Then I relaunched the application and the problem was gone. Not sure what happened but thanks :)

When you get this alert when executing scripts from the addressbar, add two colons at the beginning of the script:

Code: Select all

::fresh;

That means some of your settings causes the delay. For starters do this: hold CTRL and click menu Help | Various Information. You will be presented some possible culprits.
