More Tab/Mouse Options

I'd like to see more things like middle click opening favourites in new tabs, double click/middle click in tree view to open in new tabs etc...
Also, I'd like have an option to show only the current dir on the tab instead of the full path.
One more thing, tool tips on the mouse that show the full name of an item in the treeview when it's too long for the width of the window.
Forgive me if these have been mentioned a million times.

I'll start the reply to this with a friendly request that you go thru ALL the various config tabs and options....and read the Help file...plus the wiki...as much as possible before asking here, in the WISH forum...Believe me, I DO know it's a LOT to learn! I still am learning too!! And I've had it for a year!! Part of the problem is the features that one never or rarely uses...
For some of these things where you may be unsure if XY has it or not, I'd suggest you first post in the "Tips/Tricks/Q&A" sub-forum...and when it's corfirmed that XY doesn't support it, then use results of that thread to post a Wish...
And if you can, even though it's sometimes a PITA, try to search this board for prior threads on subject...you may find the answer already exists!
The BOLD item is, I'm sure, on the File Info Tips tab, as "Show tips for clipped tree and list items"...that's what I recall it's for...
The middle click options are a bit more unique as many don't have that type of mouse, but...I think this may be part of CKS (Custom Keyboard Shortcuts) which is coming soon...

hmm.. what exactly would you like to see added? Cause many things like this already exists:
- double-click on empty area on Tree = put selected location into view
- double-click on empty area on List = put focused item into view
- middle-click on Tree/Catalog = open in new tab
- middle-click on a tab header = close tab
- double-click on a tab header = close tab
And yeah, as jc said option "Show tips for clipped tree and list items" will show tooltip with the full name of an item in List or Tree when it's not fully shown.

What if I want to double click a tab and clone it? There could be more control over how a user decides these actions work, not so hard coded. I don't need two ways to click a tab to close it. Look at Tab Mix Plus for Firefox. It's the most popular extension for a reason; it lets the user choose exactly how to manage their tabs (literally everything you could think of is there). I just want something similar to that. Every program that uses tabs should try to emulate those features because they make sense.
Also, I've tried middle clicking (etc.) my favourites, and there's no way to open them in another tab.
Sorry about not seeing the other option for clipped items. I did post quite late and I missed it somehow. I'm also sure that I tried middle clicking in the tree to open links in new tabs.

Oh, well maybe some options for double-click & middle click on tab could be added. Allthough the middle-click to close is a pretty common thing.
I don't need to ways to close a tab either

and never use the dbl-click one. Maybe there could be an option to have dbl-click on a tab either close it or duplicate it (or (un)lock it too maybe, then), as those are common actions for dbl-click on tab.
And I hear you, I love to be able to set things that way I want to. Maxthon is awesome for that (among other things), and allows one to set all those behaviors, which is pretty cool.
Regarding Favorites, no you can't since they're available though menus only. You'll need to open a new tab (Ctrl+T) first, then change location. Or, use the Catalog
