OK, I've donned my flame retardant gear as this topic appears to bring out the flame throwers... is there an update to the schedule for introducing "Support for Non-Drive Devices" issue?

FYI, this morning I copied a file from my Nexus 10 to Win 8.1 using XYplorer. In other words:
The puzzle is completed! Now it's only a lot of stupid work until we have full support for portable devices without a drive letter.

Congrats!
Looking forward to a globally joyful new year!
And I want to
taste test any, broken even, pre/non-release with Android!

Congratulations from over here too. I'd be glad to test as well...Kindle Fire, iPhone4s, Kindles HDX on Windows 7 or 8.1.
