Some fields won't sort

Recently, an update to Comodo CIS went bad and in the process trying to get everything sorted, my computer got so messed up that I had to do a Windows repair install (8.1 x64 Pro, XYplorer 14.60.0100). Starting during that time (as I recall) and definitely now, certain columns won't sort on click: Name, Date Modified, Date Created. Is there a fix for this or does it call for an uninstall/reinstall? Thanks,

Sounds strange. Is this still the case?

No. I reinstalled and it went away.

Guess I was mistaken. That last post was based on early in a session. Right now, computer on for 10 hours, clicking on Modified and Created dates has no effect.

Update: warm reboot and still no response from those two fields. Same with Name. Only size, extension and type resort. Ah, just noticed that if I resort on one of those three fields, then I can sort on the others - once. No other problems I know of. Win 8.1x64 Pro

Re the attached screenshots: looking more closely, what's happening is the files are resorting but not the folders with Name, Ext, Modified, Created. But with Size, for instance, there is a full resort. Does that strike a bell? The first two shots are Name sort/resort, the second two are on Size.

Untick Configuration | Sort and Rename | Sort | Sort folders apart.

Hmm, that's not it because everything is mixed when I resort on Name. Rather, the solution I'm looking for appears to be to keep 'sort folders apart' but uncheck 'on top' and 'always ascending.' But you pointed in the right direction, thanks.
