Shift+F12 changes mode automatically

Tracker has no now a separate shortcut for changing mode to "Preview" mode. Why it can't be a "script" Shift + F12 = Maximize Panel + change to the "Preview" mode.
I mean, that the only case when a user may wish to maximize the Panel is for viewing file in Preview mode, isn't it? Now we have to input many keystrokes to achieve the result: to change the mode and to change Panel size. But why not put them all together?

How about this for Shift+F12.

If the Info Panel is closed, pressing Shift+F12 would open the Info Panel in Preview mode and switch to maximum. If the Info Panel is open then Shift+F12 switches between minimum, maximum and the intermediate size that the Info Panel has been dragged to using the splitter bar.

How about this as well. Only allow Info Panel size changing in Preview and File View modes, since it serves no purpose for the other Info Panel tabs? This would need to apply to both Shift+F12 operation and dragging the splitter bar to be consistent, which might not be so easy to program.

Thanks for your ideas but I find them too intelligent. I favor straight action-result mappings.

In this case whoud you be so kind to make a shortcut for Preview section? BTW, you've promissed once to redesign the whole panel section view and management, haven't you?

From where exactly you want to go to Preview?

Are you aware that you can cycle through the tabs by Ctrl+Tab?

Usually I need to jump to Preview from "Find File". But sometimes from elsewere as well.
Yes, I do know about cycling by Ctrl+Tab. But one shortcut is a bit more convenient than the sequence iof 3 or 5 shortcuts. :)

I like Ctrl+numbers for the panel tabs, it works very well but does that not make Ctrl+Tab & Ctrl+Shift+Tab redundant?

Could you number the tabs now for us poor old folks who can't count as easily as we used to??

I keep Ctrl+Tab & Ctrl+Shift+Tab for those who can't count. :D
