All customized toolbar button icons show correctly when being set "large icon". See XY1.jpg.
Customized toolbar button icon won't be displayed when not set "large icon". See XY2.jpg.

Can't confirm on the current beta. Even disabling large icons still show their correct icons.

This can't be the reason. I'm using icons with only 24x24 RGB/A in it.

With identical /init=XYplorer.ini and identical .ico files, one PC shows the customized toolbar button icons perfectly, large or small, but another can't show the small icons.
It's weird.

@armsys: your last post is all the more headscratch-inducing. Can you upload one of those icons?

No. I meant the 16x16 icon exists but actually is what the screenshot shows instead of matching the large image. Like attached icon - check it in large & small toolbar.

One of the troublesome icons is attached.
Please remove .xys. It's supposed to be file_manager.ico.

Your file_manager.icon displays fine for me in both toolbar sizes, large (24x24) and small (16x16). By the way, your icon description states 24x24, it's really 32x32 (single size) at least what you uploaded. So XY has to adjust the size to achieve 16x16 or 24x24 for the 2 toolbar sizes.

@klownboy, thanks for taking time to test out the icon.
Not sure it's related to the display card. Recently after switching to MSI GTX 970 Gaming, the small icons on the XY customized toolbar buttons are no longer displayed properly.

Even with this icon, I have no problems with it when I disable "Large icons" in the toolbar :/

Have you tried rebooting Windows to eliminate it possibly being a caching issue?

I did delete IconCache.db to rebuild it upon rebooting. It won't work.

I just discover a solution.
Referring to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11 ... sable.html,
I reset the default program back to Windows Photo Viewer (in Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations).
Now all customized toolbar button icons are displayed properly, large or small.
Hope this solution helps other XYplorer users as well.
