Tutorials?

Are there any tutorials for XY?

I did find the Usage page and that is helpful, but it seems to be aimed at features that are not immediately obvious. I'd like to read some tutorials showing how to make the best use of some of the more basic features like tabs, favorites, search, compare -- sort of like a "Getting started" tutorial.

I did try the Help (F1). It has a Getting Started section, but it's about the installation. The rest of the Help is more of a reference, not a tutorial.

I'd also like tutorials on some of the more advances features, like scripting.

There appears to be an active user community here. If a few people wrote up a little step-by-step tutorial on their favorite way to use XY, you'd have a valuable collection of tutorials that really show off the features. Then they would just need to be organized into an ordered list, perhaps with tags for beginner, intermediate, and advanced users.

http://www.xyplorer.com/features.php

Contains a few videos.

We don't have a specific tutorial section (or thread).
The help file already describes things (yeah, in a more technical term but the basic information is there).

Btw, there is a tutorial for scripting:

In my signature you'll find a very comprehensive collection of several tutorials, hints, guides spread all over the place, Cynthia.
(I bet I already pointed this to you in a past thread, though)

Yes. there are a nbr of highly devoted users who spend lots of time here --but-- anything we would write would fairly quickly get obsoleted given how fast the product changes and old/outdated documentation is sometimes worse than no docs.
