Remember View Settings on a Per-Folder Basis?
Sorry if this feature already exists, can't find in configuration settings. Can you have a default view for folder contents (for example details) but flag a particular folder as having images so you always want to see this folder in thumbnail view?

Sure,
Menu - View - Folder View Settings ->
E.g. you want to use a specific view for the pictures folder "D:\pictures"
- Navigate into that folder
- View - Views - Select one that fits your need
- View - Folder View Settings - Save Folder View
If your settings aren't saved on exit by default, go to (at least)
File - Settings Special - * Save Folder View Settings
Now all other folders are still displayed as before but this one remembers your new view setting

Is there a way to reset folder view setting to the default original?

Menu->View->Folder View Settings -> Manage...
In the opened list dialog, delete the <default> entry. (select it and: press DELETE on keyboard OR right-click->Delete Item)
Edit: this is to reset any customizations you saved to the default FVS.

Since there's only a standard global view (implicitly internal or explicitly by a default FVS) just delete the FVS for your specific folder.jr15 wrote:Is there a way to reset folder view setting to the default original?

Aha, I see. I was just looking at the help file and it doesn't mention that. Thanks for clarifying.
