XY task loses focus on delete of folder via tree

While checking out another issue, I noticed that when I deleted (via XY) a folder from the tree, my XY session lost focus and one of my other tasks (IE, Win Expl, etc) became the focus...
So had to Alt+Tab to get XY back 'in control'!
When I deleted the folder via the list, while viewing its parent, XY remained 'in control'...
I don't delete folders that often so not sure when this odd behavior started.

hmm can you reproduce this? cause I can't!
I'm pretty sure I've removed folders from Tree and didn't noticed this, and right now I created a few folders and deleted them, XY keeps the focus, so there must be something else involved here....

I'm able to do this numerous times in a row! Have closed down all apps and then restarted XY and IE and WE...same thing occurs...there was one time it didn't but on at least 5-6 other attempts, it did...tried XY and CoreFTP as only apps...it swapped to CoreFTP!
Maybe it's a W2K-only related issue?

Hi JC;
.0008 and Win2K here. I just tried this out and I don't lose focus either. Must be something else.

Here's latest test sequence I tried:
Starting with NO tasks in taskbar, (and normal stuff in SysTray),began XY and then WE.
1) Deleted "My Documents\Test\Sample" in XY (folder is empty)
2) XY focus stayed put
3) Went via WE to Recycle Bin, and "Restored" above folder
4) In XY, used History to go 'Back' to above folder
5) Deleted via XY -> Focus went to WE!

As soon as I deleted the Test folder by pressing the DEL key in the treeview, the WE became topmost and focused over XY.

When I restored the folder from the recycle bin, went in XY and hit DEL in the treeview, XY did not lose focus.
So it happens to me, just sooner

To further test this wacky issue, I renamed my XY~.exe, XY~.ini, and cat to make a fresh-out-of-box scenario...and then found the oldest vers I still had which was 5.50.1 (wish I'd had an older one)...so restored my test folder via WE, started up XY, went to tree, DELeted that same folder...and...quick as a flash, XY lost out as WE got the focus!
Thus, problem has existed for at least a few versions and trial vers had same bug...not sure if that test helps any, but it was something that needed to be tried, based on another recent bug.
Was glad to see that John Bee got failure, even if not exactly same way.

Issue confirmed. It is connected with deleting the folder that is currently watched (Auto-Refresh ON). I'll see what I can do...

I fixed that and it involved quite some rewrite. Check it out...

"And another one bites the dust"...
Thanks! Not sure how long that bug had been there but it was quite a surprise to encounter it!
