Just a minor script that helps to import .jpg files that have been tagged inside Windows Explorer.

Import = Add them to XY's tag.dat database

XY doesn't display extended file properties for pictures (at least without scripted columns) and if you want to switch to XY based tagging you don't want to import these old tags by hand...

How to use:
Just start the script and select the folder that contains .jpg files with (WE) tags. The tags for all jpegs from this folder and subfolders will be imported...

Eventually I'll add exporting capabilities as well (less priority)...

Thanks for the script. The problem is that it doesn't work for me. I get the menu where it asks for the folder. And after that a message box appears saying, "These new tags have been written to the database:" and no tag names appearing underneath, even though the folder I selected does have JPGs with tags.

Mh, interesting. The old v0.1 version used a vbscript to get all extended file properties. Can't say for sure why it doesn't work for you.

I'd need a one of these pictures that contains a tag to be able to say more about the issue.

In the meantime, does this script work for you?
If not, what's your operating system (and I would still need one of these pictures if it doesn't work)...
