Would it be possible to have the Mouse Down Blow Up of images work not only in thumbnail view but in any view (for example, click-holding on the tiny icon to the left of the file name in details view activates the blow-up)? I would personally find it very useful to be able to get a quick preview of an image file without having to switch to thumbnail view or open the preview panel. Thanks.

Big +1 from me too. Until then you could try using the custom column arrangements discussed in this thread that use "makecoffee" or "ImageEye". A single click will bring up the image for a designated period of time. http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 30#p102919

Thanks for the suggestions of an alternative. Unfortunately, I think the custom col approach is out of reach for me and other casual to moderate users. And, mouse-down blow up using icons in list & other views seems like it would be very useful to all XY users, not just heavy users with scripting skills. (It also seems like it shouldn't take much to implement, but I could be way off about that.) Is there any hope? Thanks.

I played with this idea and it turned out that it's just too good not too implement it. So I invested a Sunday in it, and, YEAH, it's just UBERCOOL!

Brilliant! Love it. I hoped the idea would nag at you until you thought of a solution.;-) Thanks for taking the time to make it work. And all I accomplished today was mowing the lawn. I agree w/ the prev post that if possible a quick click on a folder/icon should still select (just cause it would confuse some users to click and have nothing happen), but that's not a deal-breaker for me.

Agreed. Just like with MDBU on thumbs I will allow a fast click to select an item.

v14.40.0306 works very well. Only issue I see is the right-mouse-down behaves same as left-mouse-down, i.e. the blow-up. Doesn't produce right-mouse-down context menu as for thumbs, as stated in 0305 beta notes. 0305 was the same.

Not sure what you mean. I think it works exactly as right mouse on thumbs.

OK, saw it now. So you say it should honor the settings at the bottom of Configuration / Thumbnails?
