External Programs That Generate Info Tips

I've done a fair amount of research on this, and I'd like to confirm my findings.

I have 64-bit MediaInfo and 64-bit dBpoweramp installed on 64-bit Windows 8.1, and they both can generate tooltips (Info Tips) for various media files in Windows Explorer. XY won't display any of their tooltips, no matter if the Configuration preference to show Info Tips is turned on or off.

Am I correct in deducing that showing such tooltips from external 64-bit programs won't be possible until the executable for XYplorer is 64-bit as well? Or does the issue go deeper than that and that there isn't really a way for XY to show externally-generated tooltips no matter what bitness it has?

Thanks,
Jeff

Tick: Configuration | File Info Tips | Show file info tips
Untick: Configuration | File Info Tips | Show custom file info tips:

Running version 14.30.0400.

I tried that many times and with different configurations of the custom tips list, as well as having Show MP3 Info Tips checked and unchecked. As you requested, I tried it again just now. Still no joy. I only get XY's Info Tips -- MediaInfo and dBpoweramp info tips never appear.

Thanks,
Jeff

EDIT: I confirmed that both dBpoweramp & MediaInfo tips show up in Windows Explorer.

Then it might indeed be a bitness problem.
