Hello,
I'm trying a search on dates between but I've got an error message

Find Files/Date tab: enter a valid date into the 'between' field.

While the help file shows '17.02.2005' I believe the acceptable format relies on the system's configuration.
Try using the orange arrow button to populate those fields and then putting your desired dates in the same format.

For me using the format you show gives the same error but if I use '1/11/2007' and '12/31/2008' it works.

Note that the orange arrow button will insert the times as well but it should work if you omit them.

You are right: the help is wrong with the format. I will open a thread in "bugs" forum.

No need to open another thread - Don sees all. ;)

I don't think the help is actually wrong just for a location with a different date format - which is something it should make clear.

EDIT: And really it depends where you look.

The section about Find Files ::help('idh_find.htm#idh_findfilesbydate'); does say:
These examples are ready to paste into the Quick Search box, but beware: valid date syntax depends on your system locale.
Unfortunately the quick help brought up by the orange arrow button ::help('idh_pophfinddate.htm'); contains no such note nor does the section on the Date tab. ::help('idh_find.htm#idh_findtabdate');

Don, this should probably be made more clear in those sections. It would also be nice if the text fields themselves had hints of the desired format. At least until my dreams of a calendar input editor comes true. ;)

OK, I will delete the other thread then - I open threads faster than my shadow.

Oops. You can delete the other thread.
