:info: Please Include The Following Information
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: Use Your Profile Or Signature
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

[FIXED] "Run as Admin"/UAC Shortcuts open incorrectly.

Post by TheQwerty »

From a fresh copy of 14.10.0121:

1) Use #241 Edit | New | New Shortcut... to create a new shortcut. For its location use %comspec% name it anything you want.

2) Open the new shortcut's shell properties (#173 File | Properties (Alt+Enter)).
3) On the Shortcut tab click Advanced... and check Run as administrator. OK out of the properties.

4) Open the shortcut (#160 File | Open Selected Item(s) (Enter)).
The opened command prompt is not elevated (try listing scheduled tasks with cmd: at).

5) Select the shortcut and run the script: open <curitem>;.
You should get the UAC dialog asking if you want to allow CMD to make changes. Yes takes you to an elevated prompt.

If you open the shortcut in WE it works correctly and you'll also notice that the shortcut's name is used for the prompt's title - unlike XY.
