RENAME missing from right-click context menu

A short while ago I wanted to rename a file--not the extension, just the filename. I right-clicked on the name of the file (in XYplorer 14.10.0100 on Win 7 64-bit) and, to my surprise, I didn't see a Rename option. I recall that when I started to use XYplorer (not all that long ago), I learned that I had to enable "show 64-bit context menu" to get certain options to show up (e.g., scanning with various security programs). But, I now already have that checked, so that's not the issue here. I'm mystified. Why isn't Rename in the right-click context menu? I looked in the Help information, and it talked about how to rename a file I was previewing, but I don't want to preview the file, I just want to rename it. Moreover, the file I wanted to rename was an .exe file, and when I tried to Preview it, I was told it was not a previewed format, which didn't surprise me. How do I rename this file? (Even if I were looking at a .txt or other previewable file, do I have to preview every file I want to rename?)
Thanks in advance for your help.
