How to propagate Custom Columns to subfolders

I've got a directory, which contains subdirectories, which in turn contain image (.tif) files. If I define a Custom Column on the top, "Dimensions" (having already changed the definition of that one to include .tif files) and then save the folder view, telling it to use it for all subdirectories, I would expect the Dimensions column also to appear in the subdirectories, but no.

What am I doing wrong?

Still. I must be doing something wrong, but I'm utterly clueless as to what.

Maybe you have a different FVS saved for the subfolder.

Note that saving the folder views is never necessary in normal usage. Try to disable Folder View Settings and you will see it works as expected.

And you are positive you have enabled all required checkmarks under "Applied Settings" and "Include Subfolders" (both accessible via Edit-Folder View)? These checkmarks are still ticked on when you go back into the dialog?

Yes on both counts.
