[XYplorerFree] Remember Folder List View settings

Hi,
Is it possible to make XYplorerFree remember each folder list view settings?
I mean settings like file ordering.
For example: in my "Downloads" folder I want to see the the recently modified first, but in my "Documents" folder I want to see them by alphabetical order of the file name.
Is this possible in XYplorerFree?
Thanks,

Since XYFree doesn't include Folder View Settings, you can make sure Tools->Config->Styles -> "remember list settings per tab" plus all checkboxes in "Apply To" are checked, Then go to downloads folder on a tab, set up list settings (sort etc) on that tab to you liking and finally lock the tab. Repeat each folder with custom list setup.
and C'mon, XYplorer Pro is where all the fun is!

Yes of course it's possible. With many more features, many of them unheard of in the realm of file managers.

For what I have understood Folder View Settings does not store the folder view automatically each time the user leaves the folder.
The user must specifically go and save (actually clicking) the folder view settings for each folder he wants to save the settings for.
My requirement would be that XYplorer would remember the view settings of all folders in which I visit and I change something in the view settings for that folder.
This is not possible, right?

I do not use FVS myself, but you should be able to define an FVS profile of sorts for the top-level location and check "Include subfolders" and "Auto-save changes" as per screenshot below.
Auto-Save Changes: "If checked then any manual changes to the current folder's view (e.g. you alter a column width) are automatically stored to the active folder view and will be remembered the next time you come back to the folder".

You can take the Pro version for a spin. Then you have 30 days, to see if it fits your needs.

You can run alongside your current XYfree, it will not affect anything. If you don't want to install, just download the zip package and run it from the folder.

I think the original poster specifically meant something akin the "Remember each folder's view settings" option from windows folder options.
When enabled it automatically remembers every view modification, without any user input, it's not on a per folder basis like XY FVS but global.
That's the one feature i also miss, nevertheless, XYplorer is hands down the best windows explorer alternative around, above and beyond even!
