★ character is not shown in script menu's, UDC's and InputSelect

Is it not supported or am I missing something

Works here.

I get this ★ for each ★ in script (and ? in UDC though in the UDC config window the ★ is displayed properly)

May be the fonts. Tried Segoe instead of Tahoma. No luck

That's utf8 for ★. Weird.

I am trying to get nearer. I tried adding as a caption for Fav folder and it appears there, but not through a script.

Current Standings
1. Input Select - Works if I enter it directly in the button, doesn't work if loaded from file
2. UDC - Doesn't work in menu but works in UDC config (changes to ? as soon as I click on other entry)
3. Script menu - Works if I enter it directly in the CTB button, doesn't work if loaded from file

So, it appears to be encoding of the file.

Edit: It was the encoding. I will get my scripts adjusted. How can this be changed for UDC.dat

Save your file as UTF 16-LE with BOM

I can't do that to UDC.dat since it is binary

I tried deleting it, so that XY could recreate it, but it still didn't work. Tried creating a new UDC as well - deleted UDC.dat and restarted without saving as well as ::fresh

So, ★ is displayed in the menu's generated from UDC. But it is not displayed, if it is set as a caption. Same for Favorites - it is displayed in Favorite Toolbar button not in the menu bar.

So, I can rule out encoding now. The ★ in captions turns to ? as soon as I click on other UDC

If you are talking about the main menu: It cannot display Unicode characters.
