Can I search for shortcut links?

Can XYplorer do a search in a directory to find only shortcut links?

I had tried doing this in Windows Explorer but can't see the file type for shortcut link in the dropdown. (I'm using WinXP.) I turned to XYplorer but can't find a way of doing it here either.

Hope that I understood the question.

Define the name as *.lnk

You could also use *.lnk in a visual filter.

Or, if you have shortcuts in more than one directory, you could combine the *.lnk in visual filter with a branch view starting from the one level above.

All works great at my place.

Thank you for the replies. Is there another way to do this because If I use the extension .lnk then it gets messy using complex wildcards such as those with OR operations.

Similarly how do I search for folders? I tried the extension .fol but it doesn't work.

Thank you very much for any info.

Folders are not recognized by extension - they carry the "directory" attribute. Tick the directory-checkbox in the Attributes-Filter of Find Files.

What exactly do you mean with "shortcut link"? A junction (symbolic directory link) or your private favorites or web bookmarks or local hyperlinks to pages within other programs (PDF, desktop wikis) or Windows-generated .lnk files?
