Here is something which must be very old but I only discovered it today because the new Custom Columns make it so visible!

1. Take any browse tab.
2. Toggle it to Branch View (or Name Search).
3. Switch to another browse tab which has a different column layout than the first browse tab.
4. Switch back to the first tab (which is still in Branch View / Name Search).
5. Toggle this tab back to browse mode.

Oddity: Now the tab has the column layout from the other tab you switched to in step 3!!!

Can you confirm?
1) that this happens.
2) that it is odd (unexpected). The first tab's original column layout should be restored, right?

1) confirmed (for BV).

2) Apart form my very first "erm what?" I don't see an oddity here. As long as there is no col layout per tab it works as designed for a general config that has been changed, right?

Ah yes, it is only odd with col layout per tab.

OK, I fixed it. Tough one. And a good fix. Again and again I wondered why the columns looked somewhat different from what I expected: Position, Width, Sort Order... This should be over now.
