Copying and moving files

I'm a 2-paner for several years (Total Commander), and trying to be open-minded about the XY approach. So I'm looking for tips on how to make copying and moving files simple without having 2 panes.

So far I've copied to tabs. I've set up a catalog of locations that I sometimes use to copy to. I know I can create a whole list for using Ctrl+F7 for copying. But I think I may be missing an approach or attitude that would help.

Also: separate topic: Is there a shortcut for creating a new folder? Or do I need to always go to the tree and right-click? Thanks.

How about Ctrl-N? Does that do what you need?

Good luck! Welcome to the world of XY -- please ask if you have additional questions!

You can drag&drop to tab headers as well.

Or, if you're a keyboard man: I will add a "To tab" interface (similar to the Ctrl+F7 interface) soon...

There is also a button you can add to the toolbar for creating new folders.
