Animated GIF not working in floating or fullscreen

I can't get animated gif files to work in floating or fullscreen preview. Been waiting for this feature, and it won't work for me!!

What do you get instead? An error?

The preview pane is blank, with a red line at the bottom that appears for about one second that says "No Preview Available".

Does it work in the Preview tab in the Info Panel (F12)?

I kinda figured it out. I was using the portable installation, so i decided to try the installer. Installed it, and animated gif's in previews worked like a charm. I decided to copy the data folder from the portable installation over to the installer folder in an effort to keep my origional configuration. My configuration ported, but animated gif's no longer worked. So I figure there must have been some kind of data corruption in the portable data folder. Thanks for your help though.
