Slow refreshment of list

Hi
I have folders with more 1000 files or near that number. When scrolling down or up the list XY tends to a slow refreshment of the list. It also happens when using type ahead find and jumping forward or backward to the next match.
Is there any configuration toggle that I should care of, to make it more responsive?

1000 is not much. It's probably some virus scanner in the background.

Yes I think so. I have Kaspersky installed.

Best place to start is the Various Information's hidden speed dialog.
To get it hold down
Ctrl and select
Various Information from the
Help menu.
Share the contents and we might be able to narrow it down further.

I didn't remember this kind of information.
After get it out I see that what I could change I don't want to, so I have to live with this. No need to share the information.
