Questions from newbie

I am new here, and apologize if I ask questions that have already been answered
I am testing different file managers to find the one that I like best, after M$ decided not to include a file manager in anything newer than XP.
XYplorer is my absolute favorite. Can be configured to work as the "raw" Windows explorer, but with a huge arsenal of nice options, that requires some time to learn.
1) I use it as a simple 2 window manager, and can't find a way to get XYplorer to remember the file sorting methode in the right hand window (called list window, I think), for individual folders. If I change the file sorting methode in one folder, all other folders will also have the same file sorting methode. How do I change this behaviour?
2) Occationally, when I press Tools\configuration the configuration window comes up, but after a few seconds XYplorer terminates without any warning. When I then restart XYplorer, all my changes to the configuration, are gone with the wind
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you in advance for help.

1. Help file -> Main Topics - Folder View Settings
2. If it really terminates (and you've done nothing in the meantime), write a bugreport

2. Are you using the latest version from here: http://www.xyplorer.com/download.php ?

Thank you Highend. I should have read the helpfile.
I downloaded the different file managers some month ago, but have not installed them until now.
I can see that my XYplorer is not the latest one, so I will install the newest one and try if it still occasionally terminates.
Borut: Are you telling me that there has been such a bug in an earlier version?

So, it is always good to check your source. BTW, you do not have to install anything. Download the portable version, decompress somewhere and run it from there.
