Go to line number command

Could there be a "go to line number" command in the file list? IrfanView displays "file number of total files" and it would be quicker to locate a file by line number than by file name, especially if there are a large number of files with similar names.

You mean a fixed number for each file independent of the sort order, or just the line number of the current list? I assume the latter, but then I don't understand what's so hard about scrolling to that number. Unless you are rodent-allergic... but to open a line-number input interface, put in the number, then click "go", that's a lot of activity. Maybe I misunderstood what you mean?

You understand exactly what I mean. Try using the mouse with the Info Panel maximised (or even near maximum) on a list of some 2000+ files. It would be quicker to enter via the keyboard. PgDn and then arrows became the way I did it, but entering a number would have taken me directly to the file.

Ah yes, I see. Very well, so we found something useful for Ctrl+L

I won't be among the frequent users myself, but the feature makes a lot of sense formally to me. TV3 displays line numbers, so it should be able to go to line numbers. It's also very easy to implement, so nothing will stop me.
