Copy, move, backup to in the catalog

Today i was thinking on a new feature for the catalog:

"Copy, move, backup to in the catalog" functions in the dialog.

Why?

This would be very helpful for backing up or copy program settings, user settings, mail, and all other kind of things that is all over the place. So the user can create a new item in the catalog, for example "My program settings and mail", then drag and drop all files and directory's that are program settings.

For copying or backing up all user settings, you just have to right click the "my program settings and mail" and use copy/backup to.
I would prefer this over using a backup program. And you just have to look for all the files that are placed all over the place once, and update the catalog when you install new programs.

Greetings,

Steve

I did not completely understand this. Can you explain again, please.

Sorry

I did mean:

The Copy, move and backup to options, in the right-click menu for the catalog.

Now you have those options only on real filenames or directory's in the tree and the tabs. While the other right click options are no use for the catalog, the copy, move and backup options would be come very handy for making a copy or backup of applications and user information.

Greetings,

Steve

Ah, I see. Currently, the catalog is a just a sink (target) not a source. E.g., you also cannot drag from the catalog. It's one of my plans to change this...
